Latest Update?
Android wear will be getting a software update that will enable
interactive watch faces and support for Google translate. Lets see what this update offers android wear users.
Interactive Watch Faces:
According to the official android blog-post, “Today,
we’re launching interactive watch faces, making it easier (and more fun) to
stay connected, right from your wrist. Now, with just a tap, your watch face
can change its design, reveal more information, or even launch a specific app.”
Interactive watch faces will make android wear more advanced and user will be
able to get information quickly without opening apps. Right now there are three
interactive watch faces available as announced in official blog-post.
Bits:
A collection of widgets that lets you choose the information you
want to see. Ranging from weather to email alerts.
It lets you see your fitness stats.Tap to switch between steps, distance walked, and calories burned.
Together:
It lets you pair up your watch with someone else’s and share things
like photos and emoji.
Google Translate:
This update will also bring Google Translate functionality to
android wear. It is designed to enable bilingual conversations. How it works? Just speak
into your watch and then turn it towards the other person, as the watch changes direction, it'll switch
translation over to that person's language. Turn the watch again
when they respond and you will see translation in your language. Translate will
automatically recognize which two languages are being spoken. Right now it can
only translate 44 out of 90 languages supported on Translate.
This Android wear 1.3 update will come out over the next few weeks.
