How many times have you come across a facebook post where you just feel like a facebook like is not enough? or maybe just not appropriate. For me there have been a lot of times where im stuck in a situation like this, for example a sad post where liking it just feels weird and you just want to have an empathy button or something along those lines, similarly some people have really really wanted a dislike button (which may not be a very good idea if you ask me).
Well after years of people wanting an empathy button or a dislike button , something more then just your ordinary like button , facebook has finally introduced more responses:
With Reactions, Facebook is taking a very different take, something that will let users express an array of emotions while avoiding the up- and down-voting of posts that occurs on YouTube, Reddit and many Internet forums. which has often caused a lot of negativity on these forums-- something Facebook definitely wants to avoid.
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg initially teased Reactions during an event at the company's headquarters in September. Acknowledging that "not every moment is a good moment," Zuckerberg said Facebook would introduce a feature to reflect its users' wishes to have more ways to express themselves.
not everything shared on the social network is appropriate for a "like". This means even life's less happy moments can finally have a more suitable response. our trusty old like will of course remain, but along with that we have an extra bonus in the form of icons that show love, laughter, cheeky smiles, shock anger and, well, we're sure there'll be an extensive/ever growing list of options.

Facebook will begin testing initially in Ireland and Spain. there is no news regarding when facebook will release this for the widespread audience but we do that when it will , these reactions will definitely be a hit.
