Tesla Model S P85D scores more than perfect on Consumer Reports
The new
Tesla model S P85D breaks Consumer Report’s scoring system by
achieving even more than the perfect score of 100.
Consumer
Reports System rates cars on scale of zero to hundred but the new all-wheel
hybrid $105,000 worth state of the art vehicle, achieves total of 103. Here’s what
the magazine had to say about this,
“Consumer reports had to
change its
Scoring methodology to
account for the
car’s exceptionally
strong performance.”
In order to
adapt the P85D’s score to comply to the system boundaries, less credit was
given for improving its acceleration (stop to 60mph in 3.5 seconds) and
efficiency (87 miles per gallon) which still out performed any of its competitors.
This model
also earned 5 star crash safety ratings from federal government and literally
amazed crash testers by setting new standards. Even in the hardest turns for
roll over flips, this P85D refused to turn over and had to be flipped over
through special measures taken. According to automobile manufacturers, the roof of the car is so
strong that roof crushing machine broke down while the roof crushing test.
