Android-x86 Project - Run Android on Your PC
Yes! you can now install and run android OS on x86 too, but like all other open source projects android x86 also have lot of bugs and errors because it is in its initial development stages.Developers are reporting ,removing and committing improvements to this project.
Andriod x86 open source project released by Google is for arm platform, these releases of android open source project are under one of the licence of Open Source Initiative. The Open Source Initiative (OSI) is a global non-profit that supports and promotes the open source movement.
The android x86 project is founded by Chih-Wei Huang and Yi Sun ,today many developers voluntarily are debugging the project and helping to port android to x86 platform, in the next blog i will guide you how to be the part of the project to build android x86 .Let me tell you guys that how you can install the current releases on your x86 machine.
Installation guide android x86
Supported file systems are:
- ext3
- ext2
- ntfs
- fat32
Burn the iso file in the CDROM or create bootable USB (Recommended),choose the Install Android to hard disk' item, as show below
after seconds of booting you will see a dialogue box where you can select the partition (you can select existing and create your own partition ) as shown below,
Efficient developers and volunteers from the world have also considered conventional user experience this fact can be explain by mentioning the flexibility during installation,you can install android without losing your data and even android can co-exist with the your favorite "Primary OS" so you can install android without breaking your loyalty with your primary OS.During selection of file system select the option "don't format" this will let you save your data.
