America's new Commando Supersuit - TALOS

America's new Commando Supersuit - TALOS

The American technology advancement has taken warfare to an entirely different level. The soon to be developed Tactical Assault Light Operator Suit (TALOS) is the current latest technology holding the limelight.
Designed to greatly increase a soldier's lifespan on the battlefield, this suit will allow commandos to walk into a firefight and come out with minimal injuries. It will likely possess "liquid body armor" currently being developed at MIT, which is supposed to harden when an electric or magnetic field is applied to it. It is to be a lightweight and highly effective "full-body ballistic protection" measure.

More so, the suit will possess a powered exoskeleton, allowing soldiers to lift heavier loads and also run faster than they are able. This could mean that heavy or mounted weapons would be easily carried around by these soldiers.

Finally, the suit is equipped with sensors to monitor the soldier's condition at all times. Oxygen, heat, air-conditioning, GPS, nightvision and such are also part of the suit. In case of wounds, the suit would spray foam on it to stop bleeding as part of a "wound stasis" program currently being developed by DARPA.

The suit still needs work with the power supply though, as at present it would not have a very long operation time unless it is kept hooked to a vehicle for power.

The suits are a long way off from being mass produced apparently, but the TALOS suit is simply to be a stepping stone to more powerful and effective combat armors for soldiers.

The suit would greatly reduce loss of life of American soldiers and greatly increase their combat effectiveness. Not to mention cause great dismay among enemy soldiers as common firearms fail to bring these soldiers down.
